The Airport Digital Twin System is an intelligent platform that establishes a real-time, bidirectional mapping between a physical airport and its virtual digital model. By integrating Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, it constructs a comprehensive digital replica of the airport environment. This enables visualized operational status monitoring, intelligent resource allocation, and precise decision-making support—delivering an integrated smart solution characterized as one screen for full visibility, one map for complete awareness, and one click for centralized control.
Through 3D modeling, real-time data acquisition, and intelligent algorithms, the system creates a virtual mirror of the airport, achieving millisecond-level synchronization between the physical infrastructure and its digital counterpart to form a closed-loop, cyber-physical ecosystem.
The core architecture consists of four interconnected layers:
1.Physical Entity Layer: The actual airport infrastructure, equipment, and operations.
2.Data Sensing Layer: A sensor network collecting comprehensive data from facilities, flights, passengers, and vehicles.
3.Model Construction Layer: A high-precision 1:1 digital model built and updated in the virtual space.
4.Decision Feedback Layer: AI-driven analytics generating operational insights and optimization strategies, with feedback to the physical layer.
This structure enables continuous data flow from perception to analysis, decision-making, and execution, supporting intelligent airport management and operational optimization.
